A New Hope!

A New Hope!

Throughout Esports, organizations shift their focus from what they were founded upon, not at Limitless. Since the beginning of Limitless, the focus has remained the same: Become the new standard for Esport Organizations, boast some of the best Esport teams, an unparalleled content team, and a brand of the highest quality streetwear. And for the majority, Limitless has delivered on every piece they set out to accomplish: Limitless has made a Rocket League World Championship appearance and received an invite to the RLCS Major, the first invite ever for the SSA region. We were invited to compete at the Gamers8 Invitational Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Have signed numerous creators who have not only elevated Limitless but have become well-loved within their now-established communities. Oh, how could we forget about the comfortable apparel (available now at merch.beyondlimits.gg).

These achievements are not just ours but yours, too, our loyal fans and supporters. However, Limitless is determined to accomplish one thing: Win a Counter-Strike title. This is not just a goal but a burning desire within Limitless.

Last ECL Season, Limitless failed to qualify for Playoffs and solidify themselves as a legit competitor within Counter-Strike 2. Upon the team failing to make the Playoffs, it was announced with a heavy heart that Limitless would release the ECL roster containing DooM, PoseidoNN, Mellow, grape, Danejoris, and Coach Coastal. Not a single player was retained from the roster. This wasn’t the only team that was released within Limitless, however. The Limitless Angels Impact team was also released from Limitless following the end of their Impact season.

On July 11th, we announced the signing of the DJF, Seb, Sandman, Cyrix, and Wolffe roster for the upcoming ECL Season of Counter-Strike 2. With this new team, we’re committed to being as transparent as possible about the changes within Limitless, especially in Counter-Strike. And who better to do that than BignTallMatt, our Director of Esports.

“With all the changes coming to ECL Counter-Strike, how was Limitless able to retain their spot and not be relegated to Advanced?”  Per the ECL ruling, three of the five players must stay on the roster to retain a spot in ECL. With Seb being on the Carpe Diem roster last season and Wiz and Tender helping us out, we can make this work. We can’t change 3/5 of the roster for the first eight games. Our roster for the first eight games will be Seb, Wolffe, DJF, Tender, and Wiz. So when we play LAG, we will be at full strength with Sandman and Cyrix joining the lineup.

What sparked the full release of the previous ECL Team? Were there any possibilities of a player doing a complete rebuild, or was it better to explore our options for a better team? The roster went in separate directions after being relegated by Regained. But during the player break, the idea of rebuilding with Grape, Dane, and Poseidon was a thing. In the end, Poseidon regained with Regained, and Grape and Dane were exploring options.

Talk to me about the new roster. What happened behind the scenes led us to sign this roster of DJF, Seb, Sandman, Cyrix, and Wolffe. Everyone on this roster, either myself or Syn, has wanted to work with for a long time. So when I saw Wolffe’s tweet saying they were LF1, the talks started. I loved this roster when they were just Seb, Cyrix, Wolffe, and DJF. But when I was told Sandman was the new 5th, I knew I had to lock these guys in.

Is this the team that FINALLY captures the Counter-Strike trophy missing from the Limitless case? With how tough ECL is this season with Legacy and E-Xolos-Lazer moving up, BOSS back at full strength, and M80 adding Lake, I could keep going on and on. We are filled with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming season. Despite the tough competition, we are ready to give our all. But long story short, if we do end up with a trophy in that case, it’ll be the most exciting season of Limitless CS EVER.

Are there any closing comments for the fans of Limitless, Counter-Strike, or anyone else you want to say something to? Don’t sleep on this roster at all. The road may look rough, but this roster has a ton of chemistry heading into the season, with Seb, Cyrix, and Wolffe playing multiple seasons together in ECL and ADV. In addition, DJF also played with this core for a season. They have a ton of potential going into this season.
